Software crashes when trying to open the desktop app Follow
If the Intelligent Cycling® app crashes after installation, it could be due to several reasons. Try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Reinstall the app: If your app has started crashing after an automatic software update, it might be because files were corrupted during the last update. Install a clean version from https://intelligent-cycling.com/download.
- Restart your PC: Sometimes, a simple restart can solve the problem.
- Update PC and Graphics Drivers.
- Check your graphics card: If your PC has a low-end graphics card, this could be causing the crash. See below for more details.
Low-end graphics card
Running Intelligent Cycling® on a PC with a graphics card below our minimum specs can lead to crashes.
While we can't guarantee it will work, there’s a good chance you can still get it running by increasing the time Windows waits for the graphics card to respond.
Follow these steps to change the timeout to 10 seconds (default is 2 seconds):
- Download and execute the GPU_Timeout_10s.reg file.
- Restart your PC.
- Open the Intelligent Cycling® app. If it doesn't crash, it means it worked! :)
