How to adjust participants' HR max or FTP during the ride Follow
If needed you can adjust a connected participant's HR max or FTP during the ride. This option comes in handy when you are working with newbies that don't know their HR max or FTP yet. This allows you to work with an estimate that you can adjust if needed.

This video will show you how to adjust HR max or FTP for a connected participant.
1. Open the menu
In the example below, the training parameter is set to %FTP but you would follow the same steps to adjust HR max. Hover your mouse over the circle that represents the participant where you need to make an adjustment. When you hover your mouse over a circle, 3 dots appear on the top right side of the circle. Click the dots to access the menu.
2. Edit %FTP
Click "edit %FTP" (or "edit HR max" if you are adjusting HR max) in the menu.
3. Adjust up or down
You can now adjust the participant's FTP (or, alternatively, HR max) up or down. Please note that the participant's original FTP won't be visible on the screen as you adjust it. The FTP or HR max value is private and won't be revealed to the rest of the group. By simply adjusting up or down in increments the actual set value will remain private.
When adjusting a participant's FTP or HR max be sure to check in with the participant beforehand and get their consent. As instructors, we are there to help ‒ not dictate. The adjustment is saved automatically in the users profile.
