How to add a GAME Follow
Games can be added to a workout in the Session Designer on the desktop app. Games are essentially just intervals with a certain length and focus. Below, you can read more about how to add them to your workout and things to consider before doing it.

1. Introduction to GAMES on Intelligent Cycling
- Games can only be added in the Session Designer and not "on the fly".
- Games will work with the following players: "THE PLAYER", "TEAM PLAYER", "VISUALS", and "PERFORMANCE PLAYER".
- Games are always performed in teams. The teams are selected randomly by the software and cannot be pre-selected by the instructor.
- Members can see their assigned team in the mobile app.
- Games can have two to four teams, depending on the game.
- Games must be at least 10 seconds long, and the next interval must also be at least 10 seconds to allow time for the “podium ceremony.”
- Games can be used with Power or Heart Rate as training parameters.
- If too few people connect to a ride with a game, the game interval will be replaced by zone 3 intervals unless it is a target game with a zone target.
- Instructors can deselect games prior to class for any given workout using a toggle on the pre-start screen.
Note: Intensity Levels
Most games reward the highest team effort. Keep this in mind when planning your workout to maintain a balanced intensity level.
Note: Heart Rate & Power
Games can be based on either heart rate or power. If using heart rate, we recommend longer games due to the delayed response time of heart rate to effort.
Note: Countdown
There is no countdown before a game starts, so prepare participants in advance. The workout overview will indicate when a game is coming up and which one it is.
2. How to add a GAME to a workout
- Open the Session Designer from the main menu of the desktop app.
- Start building your workout like any other workout you design.
- When you want to add a game, click the trophy icon. You will find this just next to "import" and "time" on the top right-hand side of the screen.
- A window will open where you can select a game.
- Once you select a game, the window will close, and the game is added. You can change the length of the game like other intervals (drag/drop or clicking the interval and manually editing the time). For "target games", you can also change intensity.
3. How to replace an existing interval with a GAME
- Click the interval you want to replace with a game
- In the interval toolbox that opens, click "add game".
- The game selection window opens, and you can select the preferred game.
- Once selected, the game will replace the original interval while maintaining the same duration.
4. How to edit a GAME already added to a workout.
- Click the game you want to edit.
- In the interval toolbox that opens, click "edit game".
- The game selection window opens, and you can select another game or remove the game. The last part can also be done by clicking "delete" from the interval toolbox.
