How to use TIME TRIAL Follow

Compete head-to-head for a spot on the podium with the Time Trial player. No laps or curves—just you, your lane, and a straight sprint to the finish line. The first to complete the set distance wins!

How to find the Time Trial player

If Time Trial is available to you, you can find it by navigating to the "Freestyle" menu in the Desktop App's top menu (on a tablet, the Freestyle menu is located in the footer). From there, select the Time Trial player.

Before the race

When selecting the Time Trial player, you'll be asked to set a "race distance." The software offers predefined distances to choose from, but if those don't fit your needs, you can create a custom distance.

How to connect to the race

Participants connect using the unique Ticket to Ride code, displayed at the top of the player window throughout the event. Riders can be shown by either the first three letters of their name or an assigned number—this setting can be adjusted in the Desktop App's main menu.

Main features

The Time Trial player displays:

1. Ranking of riders, position, time and distance travelled.
2. Ticket To Ride code for joining the race.
3. Total race distance and the number of riders connected.
4. Race progress showing each rider’s position; the top 3 are marked as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
5. Page selector (if more than 20 riders).

Race Podium

The race concludes with a podium celebration of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Mobile view for participants

Each participant will see the following on their mobile device:

1. Their race number at the top of the app (if numbers are used).
2. Their current position in the race and the distance to the riders ahead and behind them.
3. A circle that highlights their total distance travelled and current speed!
